Sparks First... and fast!

When Sparks Architecture needed a presentation piece to leave with First Bank of Owasso they asked me to do the design and production... quickly!

They had a presentation to make with the bank later in the week and they wanted something to leave behind that would remind the client of Sparks' core values - values that they felt were important when making a decision about who would be the architect to design their new bank building. They also wanted to have a visual representation of their account team and their qualifications, but they needed to have something in hand in only a few days.

I worked with the marketing group to design a custom built flyer that met every need in a clean and attractive way, but the piece went one step further. In looking at the image manual for Sparks and studying an existing marketing campaign for First Owasso, I suggested a piece that combined elements of both companies' images, while being careful not to compromise Sparks' existing image standards. I utilized a theme from the banks outdoor advertising that stated a company value followed by the word "First". This time however, the headline would be "Sparks First". The headline font was the same as that used on First Bank's outdoor advertising but the rest of the piece followed Sparks' image standards. The colors and even a curved die cut were consistent with Sparks' image. Finally, the piece was digitally printed, hand laminated, hand cut and folded and delivered to the client the morning of the presentation.

The client was pleased, First Owasso was impressed, and best of all Sparks won the business.
